Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about MicroBlading 1st.

Your session begins with a detailed consultation and brow mapping, followed by topical numbing. The artist microblades precise hair-like strokes with pigment. Expect about two hours total, immediate visible results, and personalized aftercare instructions for healing and touch-up scheduling.

Results typically last 12 to 18 months, varying by skin type, lifestyle, and pigment retention. Oily skin may fade sooner. A touch-up at four to eight weeks optimizes color and shape, then annual refreshers maintain natural-looking brows.

Numbing cream is applied before microblading, significantly reducing discomfort. Most clients report only mild pressure or scratching sensations. Sensitivity varies, but the procedure is well tolerated and short-lived; we monitor comfort and pause as needed for your ease.

Arrive with clean, makeup-free brows. Avoid blood thinners, aspirin, alcohol, retinol, and excessive sun exposure for at least 48 to 72 hours. Disclose medications and medical history. Avoid Botox or chemical peels two weeks before, and reschedule if you have active skin issues.

Keep the area dry and clean, avoid heavy sweating, swimming, saunas, and makeup on brows for at least 10 to 14 days. Apply recommended ointment sparingly, do not pick scabs, and follow the two-week care plan until the touch-up appointment.

Not everyone qualifies: contraindications include pregnancy, breastfeeding, active skin infections, keloid tendencies, uncontrolled diabetes, recent chemotherapy, or certain blood-thinning medications. Some medications and medical conditions require physician clearance. Book a consultation to review your medical history before scheduling.
